This was taken a couple years ago during a fun-filled week in NYC… Friend Jason had been sick with a cold… now we know!!!

What with my Facebook account and my Twitter account, my work blog …. ahhh it’s all just a little new media time suck. Anyway, Tom and I got the chance to enjoy a box with friends at the new Reno Aces baseball park in downtown Reno. I have to say, they did a great job on the park and our box came catered, great food, great service… all around a nice time. Weather was a little chilly, some sprinkles… and Reno lost.

Media night for Eldorado Hotel and Casino was a nice excuse to get out of the house. Tom and I had a nice dinner a La Strada and then took in the current running show, Toxic Audio. Eldorado knows how to treat their guest… all was very enjoyable. Even though i was VERY skeptical of the show, it turned out to be fun… to be seen with friends, and a couple drinks

Tom and I headed back to Ely for a long weekend over MLK weekend. Tom made it part work/part play and did a few stories on current events in Ely/White Pine County: Mining, Steam Engine 93 at Nevada Northern Railroad, proposed Coal-Fired Power Plants, and the big tourism Fire & Ice event at Cave Lake State Park. Whew… Add to that visits to friends… and we had a full three days!

Tom finally got a new mixer for Xmas from his parents. Just what my waistline needed! Tom baked an Xmas lemon cheesecake as his first mixer attempt… mmm mmm good!

We waited two days AFTER it snowed before we decided to sled on our hill with the neighbors. Hummmm…

Since Mom always had cookie decorating parties for me as a kid,  couldn’t resist going to this one… and watching the kids… and TOM!
